Dampier Landing

Dampier Landing on Dirk Hartog Island is a remote and secluded destination in Western Australia known for its beach front location and relaxed atmosphere.

The basic facilities include communal toilets, outdoor showers, and barbeque and cooking facilities, while accommodation options range from tent-based camping to minimalist huts.

Approaching the landing typically requires marine transport and may be tide dependent, and as of my latest visit, visitors should bring their own food and drinking water, as there are no shops or restaurants nearby.

Note, there are no garbage facilities so visitors must take their rubbish back to the mainland.
