Simpson Desert Conservation Reserve - Rig Road campground offers remote bush camping and is thus devoid of established amenities, but provides opportunities for four-wheel driving adventures, birdwatching and nature hikes amongst the rugged sand dunes and wide open spaces of the desert.

Due to the remote location, campers must be fully self-sufficient, carrying all necessary supplies including water, food, fuel, vehicle spare parts, and a reliable means of communication.
