Coongie Lakes Camp 1

Coongie Lakes Camp 1, located in Coongie Lakes National Park in South Australia, is a basic and remote campsite surrounded by semi-arid desert and the waters of the beautiful Coongie Lake.

The camp provides minimal facilities such as designated camping plots and toilets; however, it lacks running water, electricity, and a garbage disposal service.

Due to its remoteness, it's essential to carry adequate provisions and be entirely self-sufficient.

The site offers a serene environment where campers can relax, enjoy bird watching, and the breathtaking natural scenery, especially during sunrise and sunset.

Note that vehicle access to the campsite is predominately 4WD, and it's advisable to check with local authorities for road conditions, especially during the rainy season.

Be mindful that the camp is located within the National Park, hence appropriate permits are required before camping.
