Newnes campground

Newnes campground, nestled in the Wolgan Valley surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs, provides picnic tables, barbecues, and pit toilets; however, there is no supply of drinking water, so visitors must bring their own.

The campground offers walking trails, historical sites from the former Newnes Oil Shale Works, and opportunities for wildlife spotting, making it a preferred spot for bushwalking enthusiasts.

Although camping is permitted without charges, the campground does not provide defined sites. Connectivity is virtually non-existent, so preparation is key.
